How pretty are these for a holiday decoration??
Loving the chocolate or caramel dipped apples you can buy out, I had to make my own. Without all the processed sugar and vegetable oils. Instead, these use the delicious and healthy-for-you coconut oil and raw honey.
I used these for Christmas with the mix of red and green apples..
But there are surely more holidays you could use them for!
Valentines day with red apples?
St Patricks Day with green apples?
What about even for a sports game with a team that is red or green or simply a girls night in?
Or you can make them like I did the second time, just for eating. Which they are very delicious for.
No matter why you make these, decoration or for eating..or for both! You or your guests will love them. Mine sure did on Christmas

- 4 Apples
- 1/2 cup Dark Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 cup BetterBodyFood’s Coconut Oil
- 2 tablespoons Kevala’s Raw Honey
- Optional: more sweetener to taste
- Optional: Shredded Coconut, Mini Chocolate/Cacao Chips, Nut, or anything else to sprinkle on top of chocolate
- Melt coconut oil and honey either in the microwave or in a pot over the stove (in 30 second intervals in microwave)
- Mix dark cocoa powder in hot oil and honey mixture
- Dip apples into chocolate mixture and set on plate covered with parchment paper
- Sprinkle any additional things you may want on top of the warm chocolate
- Sit in fridge until using/eating
