An interview by my client Alyson, with an important lesson she has learned early on as a competitive athlete
Meet Alyson, my past client and very successful young woman. As just a sophomore in high school, Alyson has already won the 3A Cross Country Finals back in 2016 as a freshman, along with a pair of runner-up finishes at the state meet in both the 1,600m and 3,200m in Track.
But after working with her personally on getting her back to a stronger place, and seeing her share her story in this article on FL Runners, I knew I wanted you all to hear as well – because I think it is such an important yet so rarely talked about subject
The importance of balancing hard work and REST.

A snippet of her interview on FL Runners and what we talk about in this video:
“To the girl who thought that training more was always better.
More is not always better. There is a fine balance in the sport of running with working and training day in and day out to grow faster, stronger, better, and with recovery.”
