Since many of you expressed interest in my LA Trip/BlogFest update post-trip! Here are a few photos and highlights from the trip in all!
BlogFest/IdeaFit Convention was Thursday-Sunday, but because of wanting to spend quality time with some of my best LA blogging friends and also my sister who happened to move out there this year, I only went Thursday! The other days youll see below what I did, along with some of the yummy food I ate 🙂

Here is my BlogFest and LA Trip Recap!
- Wednesday:

- Flew into LA late afternoon, took an uber to Santa Monica where my sis lives and took a long, beautiful walk on the beach and got dinner at this place called Tender Greens at the end of it after the sun set. Wow, I was stunned and jealous that she lives SO close (1 street away) from the Santa Monica beach!
- Thursday:
- Despite not running much anymore, I had to go on an early morning run down the sidewalk lining the beach since I naturally just WOKE UP at 630am with the time change, and knew itd be a beautiful run! Ive decided if I ever move out there, Ill become a runner again. Its just too pretty not to! So many active people out and about whether late afternoon or early morning; I loved it!
- Took an uber to my blogging friend GiGis house (remember her from THIS VIDEO?!) in West Hollywood, where we hung out, went to downtown LA for a delicious lunch at SPITZ (wow you all must go!), and then headed over late to BlogFest!
- We toured the expo halls for a few hours and talked to so many different companies which was fun, of course, networking half the time, and participating in shananigans like throwing watermelons around the other half
- Then I got to hear my good blogger friend Katie (who I did THIS post with!) talk on snapchat and youtube. Yall, Im going all in and offering SO MUCH DAILY over on my snapchat so ADD ME! And snap me saying haiiii! Woo!
- Then GiGi and I left Blogfest, and went to this really fun VIP grand opening she was invited to for Burgerim (of course I was her +1)! We tried out all 6 different burgers and then the sweet potato fries, regular fries, and onion rings (I loved the chicken and lamb burgers and the sweet potato fries the best! Which you saw on this IG post)
- Then I went back to GiGis. We just hung out and caught up on life (oh and I got invited to her WEDDING in November so I guess Ill be back soon enough!) And then of course we ended with some more food because, WE LOVE FOOD. So we each had a pint of either Artic Zero or Halo Top, topped with some yummy things like chocolate syrup, and called it a night!
- Friday:
- We woke up around 7am and went down to her gym to get a work out in! Who would have thought Id workout more on vaca then at home? This is what I love about my blogger friends, were on the same page, have the same interests, and dont mind just hangin low and not always doing something every minute of the day. Its so refreshing!
- Anyways, she works out for like 2 hours (something I havent done in who knows how long HAH), so I finished a little earlier and just went back up to her place. Then we ate a protein bar to tie us over until an early (DELICIOUS) lunch, where we went to Bristol Farms Grocery Store! You may think, why would you go to a grocery store?! But think WholeFoods x10! And this is when I decided to be more active on snapchat in case you missed this days story, I saved it for you, youre welcome — snapcode: sarah_grace11!
- You better watch it so you dont miss out on the FUN VIDEO idea we came up with mid-store/lunch. {coming to a screen near you on Friday!}
- I finished off the day with going back to my siss place and going out to happy hour and dinner at the top of this beautiful hotel with her and my step momma. Talk about beautiful bathroom experience! (also in the snap story above!!)

- Saturday:
- I went on another beach run, because, why not soak it all in for the few days I was there?! Was proud of myself that I could even go for 30 minutes still 😛
- Then we all left for brunch and wine tasting in Malibu! I got a delicious Greek Salad, and then we had a few glasses of wine each at the winery. It was such a beautiful winery where everyone brought blankets, brought their own food, and just sat all together drinking wine! So fun!
- We came home exhausted after stopping at an incredible beach for a little, and made dinner in since no one wanted to leave again. I made my homemade tortilla chips for hummus as a snack before dinner, and then we had grilled curry chicken, curried eggplant and tomatoes, and some Brussel sprouts! Mmmm. Of course had some Swiss chocolates her roommate had brought home from her trip to end the night.
- Sunday:
- Sadly my plane left at 3:30pm this day, but we got in as much as we could!
- We made green Kale and Blueberry Smoothies with protein powder added for an extra boost, and then off we went to ride bikes down Santa Monicas beach to Venice and back! So fun!
- Then we stopped in at Sweet Green for a make-your-own-salad creation (delicious again!)
- But the sad part had to come eventually, and after lunch I quickly packed up to leave for home.
- Not to mention, I didnt get home until 4am because of delays.
