Yep. I did it. I created a delicious seasonal (and semi-healthy) martini! But first things first…
I found this fun survey and thought..why not?! Feel free to copy it and do it yourself! Maybe you can get to know me a little more ๐
A is for age: Just turned 21! Reason I’m allowed to post a recipe such as this now
B is for breakfast today: My Caramel Apple Pie Smoothie since my mouth is still hurting from my wisdom teeth removal! I’m not complaining ๐
C is for currently craving: anything CRUNCHY. I’m dying. Crunchy toast with my healthy “Not-tella” spread, crunchy apple, crunchy anything is always a love for me..but with getting my wisdom teeth removed I still can’t chew much! ๐
D is for dinner tonight:ย I bought an extra turkey during Thanksgiving and we’re going to cook it tonight for a delicious turkey dinner alongside of my Homemade Cranberry Sauce I made again today! Nothing better than a turkey dinner!
E is for favorite type of exercise: I would probably have to say running! Even though I quit running competitively, and actually stopped all together for awhile, it is something I’ve been getting back into (in small amounts), and is just so simple and quick to do. Not to mention it makes you feel great!
F is for an irrational fear: People touching my neck. Haha don’t ask why, I just hate it. I get creeped out and feel like I’m getting suffocated.
G is for gross food: Black jelly beans (those dang licorice ones ruins all the great flavors in the bag), liver (never tried it, but my mom always tries to convince me its good and will increase my iron), Chinese food (use to love it, then had a bad experience), beer (don’t know how people like it), fast food, burgers,ย and I’m sure a lot more that I just can’t think of right now.
H is for hometown: Boca Raton, Florida!
I is for something important: God, my family, and my close friends ๐
J is for current favorite jam: Always have to go with the typical Strawberry! Wait, does this mean like jelly or like song? haha oops
K is for kids: What about em? I love them! I wanna be one again! And even though I surely don’t have any now, I hope to in the future ๐
L is for current location: Back home from college for Christmas break sitting on my favorite couch! (yep, I voluntarily sleep here most nights instead of my bed)
M is for the most recent way you spent money: Food. Always. I’m not a big spender or shopper, but buying new, fun foods or ingredients to experiment with or the basic necessities for cooking always seems to amount up!
N is for something you need: Nada. Of course there are certainly WANTS. But I am so blessed, I couldn’t say there is anything I truly need except for Jesus andย my family and friends
O is for occupation: Dietitian. But not the typical, hospital dietitian. I want to do something I truly love and enjoy. Something either with athletes, or maybe even something innovative and unique…like this blog would be my dream job if it paid ๐
P is for pet peeve: People that are late. I’m always on time, yet my sister and mom are always late..it always annoyed me so much growing up. Oh and neediness. Its just such a turn off to me.
Q is for a Quote:ย One I came upon the other day that I loved: “Our biggest challenges can become our biggest opportunities” -Steven Furtick
R is for random fact about you: I am obsessed with anything pumpkin. Big surprise since I have a whole Pumpkin Tab here dedicated to the recipes I make ๐ Oh, and I use to be the pickiest, junk food eater until high school. Never would have seen a veggie go in this girls mouth!
S is for favorite healthy snack: Apples! along with lots of nut butter like my homemade Almond Joy Butter onhealthy prednisolone <3 Hey, it keeps the doctor away right?? Too bad with this wisdom teeth surgery the closest I’ve gotten to apples lately is homemade applesauce!
T is for favorite treat: Home baked breads. Mmm. Savory like potato bread. Sweet like pumpkin, banana, or gingerbread. All of it. But has to be homemade ๐
U is for something that makes you unique: My honesty. All of my friends know me as the friend they can go to for the truth, and not just for what they want to hear. No no, I don’t use that as an excuse to be mean or say mean things, but I’m also not one that will pretend like everything is okay if it isn’t. I have learned over the years how to talk to people about the situation instead of just being “fake happy” ๐
V is for favorite vegetable: Hmm, there are so many I’m not sure! I love celery with peanut butter, and I love broccoli with dips..but plain, I would probably have to go with bell peppers or jicama (a new favorite, so refreshing!)
W is for todayโs workout: A nice short 2 mile run around my neighborhood’s lake trail! Getting back into working out a little as my wisdom teeth heal ๐
X is for X-rays youโve had: Recently of course I’ve had my teeth x-rayed for wisdom teeth, but I’ve had my elbow x-rayed when I broke that in 4th grade, and I also have had my knee x-rayed quite a bit for running injuries on and off throughout high school and college unfortunately!
Y is for yesterdayโs highlight: Getting to go to my boyfriends house and see him and his parents! (they live about an hour away). Not to mention get my stitches out of my mouth, woohoo! Oh, and simply just being able to relax and do nothing except for experimenting in the kitchen with being on Christmas break!
Z is for your time zone: Eastern time!

Now on to my fun little holiday drink ๐
Well, it all started when I turned 21 in October. I just really wanted to use my ID for a purchase..so I went in and decided to find something fun.
Thats when I found this.
Come on, I had to buy it. As my first alcohol purchase. It just seemed right for a pumpkin lover like myself.
Too bad I didn’t think before hand about what I would use it for…
But then good thing I decided to bring it home for Christmas break! And come up with a slightly healthier martini ๐
Mmmm.
Coconut and Pumpkin.
With it being an alcholic drink, I don’t think it could ever be totally healthy or clean. But hey, everything in moderation!
4 ingredients. Not too bad if you ask me. And compared to creamy holiday sweet martinis that use whipping cream, heavy creme liquors, and more cream..this uses none of that stuff!
Hey, its dairy free. Doesn’t that count for something? And both pumpkin and coconut have a ton of health benefits ๐
Like I said, moderation.ย And in a safe environment please.
And because I feel like I owe it to all my wonderful readers, just because I am now 21, I in no way indulge in alcoholic beverages. Yes, a fun drink here and there with close family and friends I will do, but as a girl that loves Jesus, I still don’t drink a lot just because I’m 21 ๐ <3
Yes, this is so yummy. But please, like I said, consume responsibly pretty please ๐
