For me, I started to really thinking about going Non-Toxic after my hormone imbalances when I started to research things that can impact your hormones. At the time my doctor had discredited any concerns of mine that birth control or endocrine disruptors could be at play, which only may be deep dive further into research. What I found was mind-blowing to me, and made me realize just how much what we put in and on our bodies matter - because even topically speaking, our skin absorbs a lot of it.

Natural + non-toxic living can feel “weird” and overwhelming at first, at least it did for me! Thankfully, I have loads of helpful information, education and resources here, to help you support your body in more natural ways. Just know this: we are exposed to a TON of toxins on a daily basis (in the foods we eat, products we use, water we drink, technology we use, air we breathe and more), but instead of thinking, “well I’m going to be exposed to some anyways outside of my control so why care?”... a better mindset to have is PROGRESS, not perfection, as we all make changes that are within our control (like the products we apply), to support our body and not let it get overloaded with toxins.

Great question, because cheaper can be SO tempting. But

1) with the lower price point, also comes lower quality ingredients, and unfortunately more often than others, ingredients that disrupt our hormones and overall health.

2) I wish that if it was sold in stores that meat it was safe, but according to a 2013 survey by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), the average woman in the United States uses about 12 personal care products each day, exposing her to around 168 unique chemicals: Cosmetics, Perfumes, Personal care products, and Feminine hygiene products.

3) cheap oils typically aren’t actually 100% essential oil, but instead have a lot of filler in them (trust me, EOs are EXPENSIVE to make, if they are cheap, there is a reason they are).
