Who loves smothering their apple slices in peanut butter? Well this refreshing yet filling peanut butter apple smoothie has that exact same delicious flavor!
For me, the best way to enjoy a smoothie is with a spoon. I love when it’s so thick, that serving it in a bowl is the only way to go. Hence why I love this peanut butter apple smoothie. The oats, the apple, the peanut butter, and the protein powder make it oh so thick and yummy.
Other reasons I love this peanut butter apple smoothie, or smoothies in general:
- Smoothies are a healthy, quick way to get in many nutrients
- They are versatile and customizable
- Smoothies are a well-rounded choice for breakfast
- They make a great snack midday or late at night
- Add protein powder and you’ve got a good post-workout!
And the best part, is that you can make it whatever flavor you would like. Feeling a sweet craving? Make a chocolate one. More in a fruity mood? Make a strawberry shortcake one! In the middle between the two? Then this peanut butter apple smoothie is for you! Or my Chocolate Covered Strawberry one 😉
This smoothie is a winner.
Smoothies are so customizable, you can make them according to your own sweetness liking, and according to your own dietary needs! For me, I usually always add a scoop of protein powder to get some extra protein and substance in me. But if you aren’t a fan of it, then just simply don’t add it, or rather add some extra yogurt to up the protein! I promise it will be delicious either way.
Most importantly, this specific recipe will allow you to get in some fruit, lots of good protein, healthy fats, and even some veggies! (say what?!) Yep. Would have never known, but there’s some greens in there! Try it out before you judge it, I can verify you won’t taste it.
Which is why this could certainly be the best smoothie for a kid too. Gotta sneak in their veggies somehow. Or if you were like me, who didn’t like veggies until HIGH school, then maybe this could even be a good tactic for an older child. Oh the good ole’ days of only chinese food, peanut butter and fluff sandwiches, poptarts, and Mac n’ cheese. If I would have created a blog a few years earlier, it would have been called FreshFatteningNDelicious.
But enough blabbering, and more questions for YOU:
