Do you know you should drink more water but are just feeling a bit sick of it? Implement these 3 secrets to stay hydrated!
Lets be honest, we all KNOW we should be drinking a lot of water. I know all of my 1-1 clients know it. I know I know it as a dietitian and trainer. But, we arent perfect. Life gets in the way. We begin getting sick of guzzling plain water. So, despite all the knowledge of hydration weve learned, and how much we know it would benefit us to drink enough water we.just.dont. We fall short. Because hey, were human. And sometimes it takes getting to this point before we think, “I should probably drink some water…”
Or is that just me? *awkward*
Whether its myself, my 1-1 clients I work with, or all the people I talk to daily, I see a common theme. We typically KNOW whats best for us (and our bodies). Thats not the problem. The problem is implementing what we know. Insert how we KNOW its good to drink a lot of water and stay hydrated.
(sorry, Spongebob was a childhood favorite)
But anyways, thats what Im here today to help you with, because Im right there with you as a human who knows what is best yet struggles to do it sometimes. So lets get to what you really came here for:
The 3 Tips to Stay Hydrated When Youre Feeling Sick of Water
Add flavor to water through fresh sliced fruit and/or fresh basil
- This was a huge go to throughout all of college. I would either slice up lots of fresh strawberries and cut up some fresh basil, or Id just squeeze a little citrus juice in my big bottle I brought around everywhere!
- Another great idea is throwing in some FROZEN fruit because it serves as ice AND as it dethaws, it flavors your water!
Swap out regular water for Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water
- This is something my fiancé and I have been loving lately (well, my fiancé has ALWAYS been a huge sparkling water guy, but its new for me if youve been seeing my posts over on instagram!)
- Want to try out Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water? Join me & my friends from Fit Approach from Monday, August 27th-August 31st for the #SparklingDetox which is simply swapping out usual beverages (soda, juice, alcohol, coffee, etc.) and commit to drinking Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water for 5 days!
Eat foods that are water-dense!
- Examples? watermelon, celery, cucumbers, soups, and leafy greens!
- Or try one of this fun, fruit packed cake!
