It was my all time favorite ice cream flavor as a kid. Superman flavor. If you loved it too, you’ll love this Superman Frozen Yogurt.
But it did come with some crazy, colorful, side effects..and I’m not talking about just a colorful mouth..’nuff said : )
See, everyone has that one dessert they will never pass up. Ice cream is that for me. I can breeze by the table of brownies, or cupcakes, or cake..But give me the option to go get ice cream/froyo, and I’ll never turn you down. (or anything pumpkin flavored of course). So this Superman Frozen Yogurt really is a life saver (and a money saver!)
But the other day as I was thinking back to the delicious stuff, I thought, I need to remake that. It was just way to fun and good not to.
That began my internet search as to exactly what superman ice cream was. What flavors was it I wondered?
Well..sadly I soon realized no one really knows for sure. Everyone has their theories as to what makes superman ice cream tastes how it does. But one thing is for sure, it all comes down to the blue “blue moon ice cream” involved in superman ice cream.
So, after lots of research, I decided to make my own Superman Frozen Yogurt based on my thoughts, and it turned out pretty good to me!
Perfect for 4th of July? I’d say so! (minus the {too much} blue food dye I used, because then you woulda seen red!)
Pin for when you’re about to make all you’re 4th of July goodies? Sounds like a good idea to me!
I maaay have gotten a little too carried away with the blue food coloring. Just maybe.
Oops. This Superman Frozen Yogurt still tastes just as good though, promise : )
Keep the lemon part of this without the yellow dye, and don’t go crazy with the blue like me. Then you’d have the perfect red, white, and blue Superman Frozen Yogurt treat!

- 1 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 4 packets Stevia

- 1/2 teaspoon Raspberry Extract or 1/2 cup raspberries
- 1/4 teaspoon Almond Extract
- 1/8 teaspoon Sea Salt
- Optional: yellow, blue, and red food coloring (I used natural food coloring)
- Combine milk and yogurt in bowl and stir until smooth
- Add in stevia, vanilla pudding mix and salt
- Split mixture into 3, and add one extract & food dye to each (if using fresh raspberries, puree in blender and mix into 1/3 of yogurt mixture in the end)**
- Refrigerate until cold
- Remove from refrigerator, and add all three yogurt mixtures into one bowl carefully
- Swirl food coloring with knife until a colorful mixture is achieved
- Pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to directions (OR pour into shallow tupperware and freeze for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, until desired texture is achieved)
