HIS WEDDING VOWS
From the moment that we first met, until this very day, you have never stopped amazing me.
I walked into the Wine Loft that night with no expectations, and walked out with a heart, full. Full of excitement, full of joy, appreciation, and hopefulness. To this day, it still astonishes me the paths that God has led us down, to get to this very moment. Who would have thought that this small-town kid from Wautoma Wisconsin, would have moved to the big city, gotten his doctorate, made his way to Florida, and found a southern belle to spend the rest of his life with… thanks for the playbook Dad.
When you walked in that first night, your outer beauty stunned me, but it was your inner beauty that radiated, knocking me off of my feet. You made it easy to open up to you and begin to peel back the many layers of my onion. After only a matter of weeks, it felt like we had known each other for years.
As your husband, I promise to continue to strengthen that openness and always be honest with you, in all matters of how lives. I promise to lead you. To lead our family, to lead us spiritually, to lead us on this new journey, with many exciting adventures along the way.
I promise to treat you like a queen. To give everything I have to provide for you, and give you everything that you’ve ever dreamed of. I promise to dream with you, to dream together.
Each of us has so many individual goals, but those goals are now our goals, and our visions, and our futures. I promise to protect you from any harm, and always put your well being before my own.
I promise to make you laugh when you’re feeling down… or when I tick you off. I’ll always do my best to put a smile on your face. I promise to always be your golden retriever, loving you unconditionally, remaining forever loyal, having a 30-second attention span, and constantly asking for a back rub or a head scratch.
The more time we spend together, the harder and harder I fall for you. Sarah Grace, you make me a better man, a better son, a better brother, a better follower of Christ, and now a better husband. I never thought I’d find my other half, but when I least expected it, God placed an angel in my life.
I love you with all of my heart, and will for all of eternity.
HER WEDDING VOWS
Brandon Wesley Meckelberg… You are my favorite person. After just our 2nd date, I knew God had brought the man into my life that I had been praying for.
I vow to stand by you and to challenge you, but to never keep score. I vow to make time for you. For us. & to make time for simply having fun & being silly together, as best friends.
I promise to be fully honest, not superficially honest, even when it’s easier to just stay silent. I promise to love myself as much as I love you and to never expect you to complete me.
I vow to make time to go on many Disney trips with you, and put aside my hermit crab tendencies to satisfy your heart for people and adventure.
I vow to laugh with you in the good times, and stand by your side in the hard times. I vow to always strive to be the proverbs 31 wife, that God calls me to be, and to fight against complacency, pride, and selfishness with all my heart.
I promise to tolerate your short attention span, and football binges every M,Th, and Sun during the Fall. I even promise to be the best GB packers fan (as long as you are my greatest gator fan)
I vow to love you more. Not more than you, but more than any future obstacle or valley we face.
I promise to let down all my walls, and allow you to fully know me & take care of me. Thank you for always believing in me, helping me believe in myself, and most importantly, believing in us.
I vow to take you as my husband, with both your weaknesses and your strengths, as I offer myself to you – with all of my weaknesses and strengths.
